Angela Simmons was the center of attention on Monday. Daughter of Russell Simmons, Angela attended the launch party of the holiday issue of Grind Pretty magazine. Simmons, an actress, producer and designer, was revealed as the cover star of the magazine. For the launch, which was a dinner, Simmons wore a nude illusion dress featuring shimmering fringe. With it she paired some equally blinding sandals.
The shoes were heeled sandals. They were strappy, featuring a strap across the toes and then straps that crisscrossed up the foot. This was on what appeared to be a pointed-toe metallic sole. The metallic footbed added to the effect of the shoe: almost every surface was reflective, putting on a glitzy display.
The details of the shoes are unclear but glamorous heeled sandals are nothing new. They are a go-to option for fancy events though the amount of glitz, often included by way of crystal embellishment, is changed based on the designer. For example: Gianvito Rossi’s Montecarlo sandal has just a touch of glitz. That shoe features a crystalized ankle strap as well as toe strap. The latest design iteration of that silhouette was first seen on Rihanna in October when she went out for A$AP Rocky’s birthday. It features leopard print footbed made of velvet.

In fact Yasmin Finney, an actress who stars in Netflix’s “Heartstopper,” wore an older black velvet version of the Montecarlo last night to the 2024 British Fashion Awards.
Another brand known for its crystalized styles is Rene Caovilla. That designer’s wares are often easily identifiable from its serpent-like construction that snakes up the bottom of the ankle. Most notably, Rene Caovilla is worn by models at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
