Reebok and Aries are back with another collaboration, delivering two iterations of the iconic Instapump Fury 94 before year’s end.

One of the collaborative Instapump Fury 94 unisex colorways is metallic silver, while the second is dressed in black. Also, the looks include synthetic nappa leather bladders with custom mesh detailing on the toe and tongue.

The London-based streetwear label added its signature reflective accents to the heel, which also features custom Aries heel clips. Other Aries nods include the Fluro yellow and Fluro orange hues on the outsoles. Aries and Reebok branding appears on the heels, and the collaboration comes packaged in a limited-edition collector’s black box with gold detailing.

The two Aries x Reebok Instapump Fury 94 colorways arrive Dec. 6 via Ariesarise.com, and a broader release on Reebok.com and with select retailers will take place Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. ET. Both colorways retail for $250.

Reebok and Aries kicked off the year with the Classic Leather “Mystic’s Shoe,” marking their first collaboration. The witchcraft-inspired look, which arrived in January, featured Reebok’s pale aqua and metallic gold hues, and was executed with leather uppers and tongues with exposed foam. Although the collaboration is no longer available, secondary market standouts including Flight Club and GOAT have pairs available. On Flightclub.com, prices range from $80 to $120, and the price range from $101 to $137 on GOAT.com.

Bad Bunny’s Latest Adidas Collaboration Fuses Old and New Sneakers Together https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/bad-bunny-adidas-adizero-sl-72-release-date-1234738551/ https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/bad-bunny-adidas-adizero-sl-72-release-date-1234738551/#respond Thu, 05 Dec 2024 16:33:06 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234738551

The Bad Bunny and Adidas partnership marches on with the pending launch of a new sneaker model which is actually two designs spliced into one.

The upcoming Bad Bunny x Adidas Adizero SL 72 collaboration includes three colorways of the old-meets-new model, which makes its debut in this collection. The shoe blends two distinct eras of Adidas running shoes by combining the bottom half of the Adizero Neftenga, a 2000s-era performance runner, with the top of the more retro SL 72.

The mesh of the Adizero model has been left with a raw edge as it switches to the nylon construction of the SL 72. The hybrid shoe almost looks as if the two individual models have been stitched together, resulting in a juxtaposed look that is both classic and modern at the same time.

To further emphasize the conjoined aesthetic, two of the collaboration’s colorways feature heavily contrasting colors: one shifts from maroon nylon on the SL 72 components to a bright orange mesh, while another combines a royal blue nylon top with the tennis ball-like neon yellow Adizero Neftenga shade reminiscent of what was seen on Wales Bonner’s recent collaboration. The project’s third colorway takes a much more conservative direction, combining white and off-white shades with blue branding for a (mostly) matching look.

The public’s first glimpse at the Bad Bunny x Adidas Adizero SL 72 came in November, when Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles wore the white colorway at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Colorways of the Bad Bunny x Adidas Adizero SL 72 include “Off White/Chalk White/Wonder White” (SKU JP8816), “Maroon/Chalk White/Semi Solar Red” (SKU JP8815) and “Blue/Core White/Shock Yellow” (JQ8757). Retail pricing has not been confirmed, but all three pairs are expected to be released this month.

Our Legacy and ROA’s New Limited-Edition Boot Is Made of Leather Factory Scraps https://footwearnews.com/shoes/outdoor-footwear/our-legacy-work-shop-roa-andreas-boot-1234737925/ https://footwearnews.com/shoes/outdoor-footwear/our-legacy-work-shop-roa-andreas-boot-1234737925/#respond Wed, 04 Dec 2024 20:11:45 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234737925

Swedish fashion brand Our Legacy and Italian footwear company ROA have just collaborated for the third time and the resulting product is available now, but it may not last long.

Released under Our Legacy’s Work Shop banner — which focuses on upcycling and is home to many of the label’s collaborations — is the ROA Andreas boot. The Andreas is ROA’s flagship boot and boasts a beefy Vibram Megagrip sole with a rubberized toe cap. It’s described by the brand as a “hybrid boot” which is equipped to tackle Italy’s Dolomite mountains while also looking casual enough for fashionable city wear.

For this collaboration, Our Legacy Work Shop stayed true to its reuse ethos by sourcing premium Vachetta leather from Sweden’s Tärnsjö Garveri factory. Specifically, the boots are constructed with residual tannery offcuts or in other words, scraps that would be otherwise discarded if not for the collab.

The repurposed leather was then treated to a traditional vegetable tanning process to prepare it for use, but the brands left any natural imperfections in place to give each boot its own character — an example of which can be seen on the brown leather texture below. Available in brown and black leather colorways, both styles are designed to develop unique patinas over time.

Our Legacy Work Shop’s signature yin-yang logo is embroidered on the lateral side while the right and left tongues are stamped with the words “work” and “shop,” respectively. ROA’s logo appears at the lateral toe and medial heel as well as the tongue. Both pairs come with black-and-white hiking-style shoelaces and are also packaged with alternate orange laces.

The Our Legacy x ROA Andreas boot is available now from roa-hiking.com, ourlegacy.com, Our Legacy stores, Slam Jam stores and Dover Street Market’s London and Ginza locations. The boot retails for $630 and is beginning to sell out in select sizes.

Exclusive: Gallery Dept. Creates an Entirely New Silhouette for Latest Asics Collaboration https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/gallery-dept-creates-new-asics-shoe-gel-k1011-1234737690/ https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/gallery-dept-creates-new-asics-shoe-gel-k1011-1234737690/#respond Wed, 04 Dec 2024 16:52:57 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234737690

For his second Asics collaboration, Josué Thomas not only put together a trio of compelling colorways replete with personal nods. The Gallery Dept. founder also created an entirely new silhouette.

Before month’s end, Thomas — through his renowned Los Angeles-based fashion label — and Asics will introduce the Gel-K1011, a new sneaker that features elements from the Gel-Kayano 10, the Gel-Kayano 6 and the Gel-Kayano 5, as well as other classics from the Japanese sportswear company.

Specifically, the uppers includes details sourced from the Gel-Kayano 5 (the tongue loop), Gel-Kayano 6 and Gel-Kayano 10 (the tiger stripes), and the tooling comes from the Gel-Cumulus 17. The tech includes Asics’ Trusstic innovation at the midfoot for support, as well as rear and forefoot Gel cushioning for shock absorption and layered Flytefoam and Flytefoam Propel for comfort.

Aside from the shoe’s colorways, the new model’s name is also deeply personal to Thomas. The Asics Gel-K1011 pays tribute to Apartment 1011, which is where he first discovered his passion for both sports and fitness.

“We are very intentional with the partners we choose to work with and we particularly aim to align with partners who have a unique style and individual story to share,” Asics North America senior director of merchandising Kelly Fatouretchi told FN. “This is not the first time we have partnered with Josue and the Gallery Dept. team and we were excited to see Josue’s creativity and perspective shine as we took on this second project and developed the Gel-K1011.”

Gallery Dept., Asics Gel-K1011, colorways
The three Gallery Dept. x Asics Gel-K1011 colorways.

As for the collaboration’s three colorways, each one was inspired by a different part of Thomas’ creative journey. For instance, the “Black/White” look was created as an homage to one of his favorite artists, and the “Khaki/Clay Canyon” look is a nod to trail running. Also, the “White/Pure Silver” iteration was described as a “crisp, clean take on classic sports aesthetics” and “designed for universal appeal.”

The three limited-edition Gallery Dept. x Asics Gel-K1011 colorways arrive Dec. 6 exclusively in Gallery Dept. stores. An online release via Gallerydept.com will take place Dec. 7 and then select retailers globally will offer the shoe on Dec. 12. Retail price for the “Black/White” look is $325 and the other colorways will sell for $295.

Travis Scott’s Newest Nike Sneaker Collaboration Comes Out in January https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/travis-scott-nike-zoom-field-jaxx-light-chocolate-hq3073-100-1234737073/ Mon, 02 Dec 2024 20:30:44 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234737073

Travis Scott fans will have the chance to kick off the new year in style as the release of his newest Nike sneaker is lined up for a January release.

After debuting in a tonal “Sail” look, the artist’s Nike Zoom Field Jaxx sneaker has a new “Light Chocolate” colorway coming next. While the CJ1 T-Rexx (formerly known as the Jumpman Jack) is Travis Scott’s first Jordan signature shoe, the Zoom Field Jaxx is the “Utopia” rapper’s debut Nike model. The half-runner, half-trainer design takes cues from Nike’s 1997 Air Zoom Spiridon model, most notably the model’s midsole and outsole tooling, which features small tweaks such as a shark teeth motif near the forefoot.

The upcoming “Light Chocolate” version of the Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Field Jaxx fuses a white leather upper with a wide-gauge cream-colored mesh base and brown accents throughout. Like the CJ1 T-Rexx, the Zoom Field Jaxx features a midfoot support strap, which reads “Cactus” on the left medial side and “Shark” on the right medial. The heel features a reflective stripe adorned with “Nike Air Zoom Spiridon” text and embroidery featuring Travis Scott’s smiley face logo juxtaposed with the Swoosh emblem. The heel also features a textured material around the collar, giving the design some added flair.

And before this new-look Zoom Field Jaxx arrives, Nike will release the original Air Zoom Spiridon from ’97 in December. Several additional colorways of the late-‘90s runner are expected to be released throughout 2025.

Originally expected to arrive before the end of the year, the Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Field Jaxx “Light Chocolate” is currently set to be released on Jan. 17 for a retail price of $170. It will be available from both Nike’s SNKRS platform and Travis Scott’s website. The collaboration’s SKU is HQ3073-100. This story will be updated with any potential changes.

Skepta’s Brand Mains’ New Kickers Collaboration is Too Cool for School https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/skepta-mains-kickers-collaboration-release-info-1234736737/ Mon, 02 Dec 2024 17:22:29 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234736737

Skepta is taking Kickers out of the classroom, and onto the streets and the dance floor for his upcoming Mains collection.

The musician and man behind Mains has reworked the classic style to mark the 50th anniversary of the Kick Hi boot, which takes place next year.

Skepta, whose real name is Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., has reimagined the classic Kick Hi style in different colors and created a new Kick Mule which is lined with faux fur. The latter nods to the colorful, Muppet-y faux fur hats in his season 2 collection.

The Kickers x Mains Kick Hi features dual branding and comes in three styles: white leather with white details; dark green leather with off-white accents; and a debossed snake pattern on black and gray leather with off-white details.

They retail at 160 pounds, or around $200.

The Kick Mule is a new slip-on style made with premium soft leather and faux fur details. It also features the brands’ logos and comes in tan nubuck; dark red leather with a vintage feel; and black leather with contrasting off-white details. They retail at 200 pounds, or around $250.

The shoes will drop in June 2025, and be available through both brands’ online stores and retailers.

The styles made their debut during the Mains show at London Fashion Week, and also feature in the new campaign, which was photographed on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, Skepta’s hometown.

Mains originally launched in 2017, but was later put on hold. Skepta revived it in 2023 with the support of partner Puma, and plans to start selling direct-to-consumer in the coming months.

He’s still working closely with head designer Mikey Pearce, and is involved in everything from the conception of the collection to the castings, marketing and celebrity wrangling.

The collection that showed in September was filled with tailoring, leather and denim, and channeled Skepta’s love of fashion and desire to dress up and show off when he was at school. He also brought in references from ’90s raves, anime and the West End production of “Matilda.”

Skepta says he’s designing for people who want to dress up for a night on the town.

“What I want to do is take fashion back to music. I want to start doing raves where you’re only allowed in with shoes, so that people will start dressing up again. Not getting dressed was what killed the rave,” he told FN’s sister publication WWD in September.

Skepta added that one of his favorite moments is when he sees his friends come to his London studio and try on the clothes and say, “‘Where are we going?’ I want people to feel that as soon as they put these clothes on, they’ll want to go out and express themselves,” he said.

Grenson and Craig Green’s Collaboration Gives Stuffy British Style a Cool Update https://footwearnews.com/shoes/mens-footwear/grenson-craig-green-oxford-shoe-collaboration-details-1234735037/ Fri, 29 Nov 2024 11:00:00 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234735037

Once championed by posh Oxford academics and English dandies, Grenson and Craig Green’s spiffy upcoming collaboration give Oxford brogues a cool new look. Reworked with punchy clips, studs and poppers, the triple welt shoes will be released on Dec. 5.

“Craig is possibly the UK’s most respected menswear designer over the last decade and we are very proud to have worked with him for most of that time,” said Tim Little, Grenson’s creative director and chief executive officer.

“For our 10 year anniversary, Craig designed a beautiful triple welt that showcases both his incredible creativity and Grenson shoe making heritage in equal measure,” he added.

The revamped Oxfords celebrate British heritage and craftsmanship, made in Grenson’s Northamptonshire, England factory using polished Bookbinder leather stitched, punched, and gimped. The shoes will be released in two color ways, black and chocolate brown

“Working with Grenson over the past decade has been an absolute privilege. Their consistent dedication to craftsmanship and innovation continues to inspire me,” said designer Craig Green, MBE.

The shoes are an adaptation of Grenson’s Dominic brogue.

The shoes debuted at Craig Green’s spring 2025 show, which was a loving tribute to the designer’s father, who had died recently.

The show highlighted the bonds between father and child and the expectations that each has of the other. The result was a blend of masculine and feminine, with nods to rugby, cars and grown-up clothes in a palette full of pastels, loose shapes and layers.

Nigel Sylvester Is Getting His Own ‘Bike Air’ Air Jordan 4 in 2025 https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/nigel-sylvester-air-jordan-4-retro-bike-air-hf4340-800-release-date-1234734693/ Mon, 25 Nov 2024 18:37:37 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234734693

Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 RM collaboration was one of 2024’s most talked-about sneakers and after helping Jordan Brand introduce the RM version of the model, the BMX pro will reportedly receive his own Air Jordan 4 Retro in the new year.

Set for a March release, the upcoming Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Bike Air” sneaker will come in a “Firewood Orange/Sail/Cinnabar” colorway. Although in-hand images are not currently available, leakers @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files provided a speculative mock-up of what the collaboration could look like based on its color description. The shoe is expected to feature a mostly orange design with off-white and red detailing, although it’s possible the retail version could differ considerably.

Like Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 RMs, this Air Jordan 4 Retro is expected to feature “Bike Air” branding on the heel in place of the 1989 sneaker’s original “Nike Air” text. The biker’s Air Jordan 4 RM shoes redesigned the retro basketball shoe through the lens of an action sports shoe equipped for BMX riding. Key changes on the RM version of the sneaker included a lower ankle cut and material updates for added durability.

Following the Air Jordan 4 RM, another retro model is expected to receive the updated treatment in 2025 in the form of the Air Jordan 7 RM.

Sylvester has previously collaborated on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High sneaker, which was released in 2018 and featured a heavily pre-distressed design as if it had been put through the rigors of bike riding.

The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Bike Air” has a SKU of HF4340-800 and is currently slated to be released on March 23. Retail pricing has not been announced, and it’s possible that the release date could change between now and then. This story will be updated with any developments including images of the collaboration.

LaMelo Ball and Puma Have a Playful ‘Scooby-Doo’ Collaboration Coming Out This Week https://footwearnews.com/shoes/sneaker-news/scooby-doo-puma-mb-04-release-date-1234734604/ Mon, 25 Nov 2024 17:17:45 +0000 https://footwearnews.com/?p=1234734604

LaMelo Ball’s playful Puma releases will continue this week with the launch of a new MB.04 in a special “Scooby-Doo” collaboration colorway.

The Scooby-Doo x Puma collection is highlighted by Ball’s fourth signature sneaker, the MB.04, and also includes the Suede XL silhouette and a selection of apparel. For the MB.04, the TPU-wrapped shoe has been given the look of the cartoon’s iconic Mystery Machine car.

Colored in a mix of “Aquatic/Lime Smash/Heat Fire,” the collab evokes the franchise’s 1970s aesthetic with bright accents and whimsical flower adornments. The heel features a graphic of the mystery-solving dog playing basketball, while the rest of the collab boasts the MB.04’s usual references to Ball including “1 of one,” “rare,” and “love” hidden throughout the design.

For those looking to take the Scooby-Doo x Puma collaboration off the court, a Suede XL sneaker is also offered in the collection. The Suede XL features a color scheme and details similar to the MB.04.

On the apparel side, the Scooby-Doo x Puma collection includes T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, pants, jackets and sweaters emblazoned with the show’s graphics and motifs.

Also on the horizon for the MB.04 is a “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” collab expected to arrive in the coming months. The Charlotte Hornets star’s Puma line has previously referenced his love for cartoons with projects including “Rick & Morty” and “Dexter’s Laboratory” collaborations.

The full Scooby-Doo x Puma range will be released Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. ET from puma.com and can also be found at select retailers. The MB.04 sneakers retail for $130 in adult sizing and will also be available in big kids ($115), little kids ($90) and toddler ($75) sizes. Stuart Weitzman and Swarovski’s platform for collaborations, Swarovski Creators Lab, have joined forces to develop a glittering party shoe just in time for the holiday season.

The limited-edition Stuart Power Shine pump sees the brand’s new 2.95-inch heels decked with over 6,000 tonal Swarovski pavé crystals.

Dropping on Monday, the design is available in two metallic shades exclusive to Swarovski, including one encrusted with silver-toned clear crystals and the other with golden light topaz. These add to three other colorways, comprising rose pink, peridot green and ice blue.

Priced at 850 euros ($884 at current exchange), the Stuart Weitzman for Swarovski Creators Lab pumps are available in select Swarovski and Stuart Weitzman stores globally and at both brands e-commerce sites.

Launched in 2021, Swarovski’s platform already counts a long roster of partnerships, as previous tie-ups resulted in special Amina Muaddi and Aquazzura sandals, Judith Leiber handbags, Nike Women’s Air Force 1 LXX sneakers, a FAO Schwarz nutcracker statuette and a crystallized basketball developed with streetwear brand Market. In 2022, Swarovski Creators Lab embarked on its first ready-to-wear collaboration with Advisory Board Crystals and teamed with high-end sneaker brand Golden Goose for a sparkly version of the signature Super-Star style and a special skateboard.

Last year, it joined forces with Puma for the German sportswear brand’s 75th anniversary and with the Dover Street Market Paris Brand Development hub for a trifecta of collaborations with emerging fashion brands, partnering with WeinsantoLiberal Youth Ministry and Phileo to develop exclusive styles of bag, apparel and footwear.

Swarovski Crystal Business has a global reach with about 2,300 stores and multibrand partners in more than 140 countries and employs 16,600 people. Together with its sister companies Swarovski Optik (optical devices) and Tyrolit (abrasives), it forms the Swarovski Group.
